Nature offers a way to contextualise our experiences.

A falling leaf is symbolic of release. The tidal cycle uncovers abstract patterns. A split pod ruptures, revealing signs of growth. Bark from a tree sheds layers that scatter in the wind.

Fragments gathered from a particular landscape retain the trace of an encounter. Rearranged they give material form to something otherwise fleeting.

This is what is meant by nature, made symbolic.

JUDE GRACE WORKS is a nature-based art practice shaped by immersion in the landscape, wandering, gathering and the memory of place.

Jude works with leaves, bark, seed pods, petals and organic fragments found within the landscape, composing them into abstract works that sit between design, documentation and material storytelling.
